Thérèse van Houten, author of Papa’s War: From the London Blitz to the Liberation of Holland, was born in London and moved to the United States in 1956. Only recently did she consider researching her father’s World War II letters covering wartime England and the Netherlands.
Tony Vanderwarker, author of Ads For God, is a recovering ad man who struggled to write a humorous novel about advertising but because the business is a satire unto itself, it wasn’t until he found a deus ex machina to make it work.
Michael Vitez, author of The Road Back: A Journey of Grace and Grit, received the Pulitzer Prize in journalism and spent 30 years at The Philadelphia Inquirer. He is a former editor of The Cavalier Daily at UVa and is working on a book about the power of storytelling to change the world.
